Doris Rae Linnell, 81, of Duluth, passed in her sleep in her home on Friday, May 26, 2017. Doris was born in Duluth on June 10, 1935, to Chester Linnell and Viola (Jarvinen) Linnell. Doris attended UDAC for years, where she had many friends, and "retired" from in 2014. Our sweet Doris lived a long, contented life and taught us all patience, simple pleasures, unconditional love, laughter, and how to do a great Tarzan call! Doris was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Larry Linnell. Doris is survived by her brother, Keith (Judy) Linnell of Arizona; sister-in-law, Betty Linnel; nieces, Susan (Mike) Johnson, and Sandra Caywood; nephew, Steven Linnell; and their children and grandchildren. A huge THANKS to all the people who took great, compassionate care of Doris and made her life joyful- Helen Maki's in Brookston, Caromin House, Welter Adult Foster Care, A&E Homes. The family will be holding a private memorial.
