Donna Elizabeth (Billings) Morrison, 76, of Hermantown, Minnesota went home to be with her Savior on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 surrounded by her loving family in her home. Donna was born in Toronto, Ontario to the late Donald and Yvonne (Defriez) Billings on May 20, 1942. Donna graduated from University of Toronto in 1966 with a Master of Science in Nursing. She went on to receive a Master of Social Work degree in 1980. Donna married Ian Kenneth Morrison on July 31, 1969 in Toronto, Ontario. They raised their two daughters in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario before relocating to Traverse City, Michigan in 1997. She worked the last 20 years of her career as the Early ON Coordinator at the Traverse Bay Intermediate School District. She was passionate about helping others and her life's work showed this. Donna moved to Hermantown, Minnesota in 2014 to be close to family after her retirement. Donna was an active community member and belonged to many bible studies, Faith Baptist Church, and University for Seniors. She was passionate, caring, and had a great sense of humor. She was honest, generous, and always wanted the best for the people around her. Donna had a deep faith and family legacy always putting Jesus Christ in the center of her life. She believed John 14:6 that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life! She believed for those that know Christ it is not goodbye forever but rather see you later! Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Ian Morrison. Donna is survived by her two daughters, Allison (Chris) Nicolson of Duluth, MN and Christina (Martin) Korson of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; five grandchildren, Kaitlin (Zach) Schaumburg, Benjamin and Aaron Nicolson, and Madeline and Ella Korson; sisters, Sylvia (Dan) LaFleur and Bonnie (Ted) Billings; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, Donna requested that donations be made to My Father's House Haiti Orphanage; checks written to Faith Baptist Church, 5693 Maple Grove Road, Hermantown, MN 55811.
