Donald Charles "Don" Schramm, 85, of Duluth, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018, in his home.
Don was born in Duluth to Albert and Olga (Johnson) Schramm on Oct. 5, 1933. He was confirmed at The Highland Lutheran Church in 1947. Don went to Lowell Elementary and graduated from Central High School. He then enrolled in the US Army, serving in Germany during the Korean War. Don married Bernice Randall on June 28, 1958.
Don worked at Thorp's SuperValu and then National Food, before working 20 plus years at Diamond Tool, retiring in 1994. Don was a member of the Wounded Warrior Project, American Legion 0342, AARP, USO, and Diabetes Association.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters; 1 brother; and 5 brother-in-laws.
Donald is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bernice; sons, Greg, Ken, Steve (Kathy); daughter, Annette (Terry) DeBartolo; grandchildren, Paul, Stephanie, Donovan, Dylan, Randi, Ricki, and Ron; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Hannah, Vincent, and Orion; brothers, Robert (Grace), Russell (Carol) and Glen (Karen); sisters, Lola Jannetta and Judy Wihriala; and sister-in-law, Betty.
VISITATION: 10 am on Thursday, October 25th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with funeral service to follow at 11 am.
