Diana M. Balen, 84 of Duluth, died Friday June 28, 2013 in St. Eligius Health Center.  She was born in Duluth on April 27, 1929 to James and Matilda VanWave.  Diana had worked as a cook at the Wabegon Supper Club.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Leroy and Galen, son Jimmy, and a grandson Jacob. She is survived by sons Dave and Bobby, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
