Obituary

DEBORAH ANN RAMOS Deborah ("Debbie") Ann Ramos, 66, passed away Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015 in Duluth, Minn. She was born April 27, 1949 in Duluth to Hazel and Willard Bennewise, and was a lifelong area resident. Debbie was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades, and was also a certified welder, long before women were readily accepted into such trades. She worked for the City of Duluth Parks and Recreation Department, enhancing the gardens throughout the city. Her many hobbies included quilting, fishing, hunting and photography. Debbie was a staunch supporter of Lyme disease research. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter Marie; and her grandparents Bennewise and Marcotte. She is survived by sister Bonita (Bob) Drummond; brother Edward Bennewise; daughter Angela (Pey) Roan; grandchildren Aisis and Isben; nephew Tom Turk; niece Tonya (Ben) Jayston; aunt Agnes Bennewise; and cousin Charlotte Peebles.
