David Allen Riley, 90, formerly of Esko, MN passed away on July 2, 2021 at his home in Brookston, MN. He was born on October 24, 1930 to john and Olive Riley in Benson, MN.

Dave married his first wife and mother to their children, Dorothy I. Riley on August 31, 1951. Dave married his second wife, Donna, on December 12, 1964. He was a self-employed truck driver. In his early years, he was active with Proctor Racetrack and later was a member of the West Duluth and Proctor Moose and the Lakehead Harvest Reunion.  In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling and fishing.

Dave was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, in 2013; the mother of his children, Dorothy in 2017; and his nephew and best friend, Wayne "Buck" Hirdler in 2020.

Dave is survived by his sons, Daryl (Pat), Daniel (Karen) and Dwayne (Barb); daughter, Diane (Jay) Lawton; brothers, Glen and James; sisters-in-law, Mary Busch and Ardys (Calvin) Wolfe; special niece, Lynn Hirdler; long-time friend, Debra Whitehead; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and his family at Brook Manor, where he resided for the last 7 years.

Visitation to be held at 12 pm on Friday, August 6th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with Memorial service to follow at 1 pm.
