David Louis Gellerstedt passed on Friday July 1st surrounded by his loving wife and family.  David was born on March 7, 1937 to Louis and Janette Gellerstedt.  In 1956 he married the love of his life Carol Stromberg.  David served many years with the 148th Air Guard while working many jobs to support his family.  He was the Director of Purchasing for Superwood Corporation for 35 years before retiring.  David and Carol ran the Curling Club roller rink for fouteen years.  He was a coach, mentor, teacher and friend but most of all a loving husband and father to many.  David is survived by his wife of 60 years Carol, daughter Annette (Steven) Eberhart, son Paul (Mary), daughter Gail (Len) and foster daughter Melanie (Steve) Perry and children Anna and Joey.  Two Granddaughters Hattie (Toulee) Vang and Kelly (Andrew) Gibson.   One great granddaughter Nora.  David fell short by two weeks of meeting his second great grandchild - baby Gibson.  Brother Roger (Jan) Gellerstedt, Sister in Law Marcia Gellerstedt and many nieces and nephews and friends.  In David's words "He lived, he died.  He had a loving wife and children who were very good. I was blessed."  A celebration of life reception will be held for David on July 10th at Valentini's on London Rd. from 2-4p.m.  In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to your favorite charity or to Life House in Duluth.
