David James "Brunzy" Bruns, 61, of Duluth, MN, boarded the train to heaven on Friday, September 7, 2018. David was born in Baton Rouge, LA, to Charles & Geraldine Bruns on June 8, 1957. David had 20 years of service with the Air National Guard and was honorably discharged on October 2nd of 1995. He worked for the DM&IR, Wisconsin Central and Canadian National Railroads. David was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Pixie Bruns. David is survived by his daughter, Katie Ali; son, Ryan Bruns; grandchildren, Nichole Anderson, Amir Ali, Naima Ali, Hikari Bruns and Jemal Ali; brother, Charles (Diane) Bruns; nieces, Alexandria Bruns, Victoria Bruns and Geneva Bruns; great-niece, Aunika Bruns; and great-nephew, Harvey Bruns. VISITATION: 1 pm on Friday, September 14th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with funeral service to follow at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery.
