Daren Boyd Saxin, 64, passed away on May 19, 2026 in Fargo, ND where he had lived for a few years.

He was born in Lynwood, CA to Robert and Betsy Ann Saxin on May 23, 1961. The family moved back to Duluth MN in 1969.

Daren graduated from Hermantown High School in 1979. He worked at many different jobs in restaurants, lumber yards, movies, painting, roofing, and meat cutting. His biggest passion was fishing.

Daren was preceded in death by his father, Robert; and grandparents.

Daren is survived by his mother, Betsy; mother of his children, Diane; son, Bobby (Jessy); daughter, Erica (Julio) Capistran; grandchildren, Lydia, Alyx, Whitney, Javan (Cassie), Josiah, Noah, and Sofia; great-grandchildren, Genesis and Dawson; sister, Pam (Brian) Kellerhuis; nephew, Damian (Jamie) Kellerhuis; great-niece, Jewel Kellerhuis; and many extended family members. Daren absolutely adored all his grandkids.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Sunrise Funeral Home, his final resting place.

Visitation to be held at Noon on Saturday, August 8th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with Memorial Service at 1:00 PM and reception to follow.
