Obituary

Dale Alan Kitchenmaster Sr., 65, of Cloquet, Minnesota passed away on April 24, 2024.

Dale was born in White Bear Lake, Minnesota on March 10, 1959, to Alfred Kitchenmaster Jr. and Sharlene Cartier. Dale and his family moved to Hinckley, Minnesota in 1973 where he graduated from Hinckley High School in 1977. After graduation Dale enlisted in the U.S Army, he was stationed in Germany for 3 years and upon completion of his tour of duty, he was transferred to Fort Leonard Wood Missouri where he received an Honorable Discharge in 1982. Dale worked as a mechanic for many years before joining the Laborers International Union in 2007. He would later take a position with United Piping, Inc (UPI) where he retired from the Laborers Local Union 563 in April of 2023.

Dale had 3 children and on September 19, 1992, he would marry the love of his life, Tammy Ernst. He enjoyed the outdoors, Lucky Dog car racing, ATV riding, adventure trips to Cozumel, and handyman projects. He was eager to share his interests with family and friends and never missed an opportunity to help someone in need.

Whenever you stopped by Dale's house there was plenty of laughter, teasing, and rough housing. You were deemed the lucky one if you were never the recipient of what we called "Chinese torture".

Whether you met Dale a week ago or knew him his whole life, he made a lifelong impression on everyone he met. Even though his life was cut short, his family and friends knew for certain that he truly was the Happiest Man in the World! Still deeply in love with his wife, admired by his children, cherished by all his grandchildren, and still referred to as Big Brother by his siblings.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Mike Flansburg; and father and mother in-law, Gordy and Lois Ernst.

Dale is survived by his wife, Tammy; children, Amanda (Mike) Grove, Dale Kitchenmaster Jr., and Kayla (Tony McLain) Kitchenmaster; daughter-in-law, Amy Kitchenmaster; grandchildren, Taylor, Xander, Joey, Shayne, Trinity, Hunter, Aaron, Kayana, Rickey, Nova, and Henry; brothers, Mark (Debbie) Kitchenmaster, Alan Kitchenmaster, and Jerry (Robin) Kitchenmaster; sister, Anita Flansburg; longtime friends, Jim Congleton and Sherri Bissell-Congleton; many in-laws, friends, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and, of course, his beloved pets, Rascal and Squish.

Dale touched the lives of so many people and had an unbroken bond with all who knew him.
