Dale Byron Hellesvig, 78, of Duluth & St Cloud, entered into eternal rest with the Lord our Father on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Viewcrest Health Center in Duluth. He was born May 23, 1944 in Duluth to Richard and Agnes (Rise) Hellesvig.

Dale SMSgt retired from the 148th Fighter Wing after 31 years of service. He has spent many years in St Cloud and recently returned to Duluth to spend time with his family.

In his spare time he enjoyed going on Facebook and seeing the silly things his great-nieces have been up to. He also enjoyed going to the casino.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Stephan, Richard Jr. "Bosco" and Gary; sister, Sandra Jackman; nephews, Rickurt Jackman and Christopher Durst; and brothers-in-law, Roger Talbot and Jim Carlson.

Dale is survived by his siblings, Jessie Talbot, Marilyn (Dennis Chelstrom) Hellesvig, Jeffrey, Barbara Carlson, Terry, Bradley, Carol (Bob) Walczak, David and Clarissa Durst; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff at Viewcrest Health Center and Essentia Hospice.

Private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Honors will be accorded by the Duluth Combined Honor Guard. Inurnment at the MN State Veterans Cemetery Duluth.
