IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles "Cudder"
Robert Morzenti
October 29, 1940 – October 6, 2025
Charles R. "Cudder" Morzenti, 84, of Montreal, WI, died Monday, October 6, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Charlie was born October 29, 1940, to the late Charles and Anna (Hornick) Morzenti. Following graduation from Hurley High School and working a few odd jobs, he entered the US Marine Corps in 1959, serving in Okinawa, Japan and the Philippines before his honorable discharge in 1962. Upon his return to Montreal, Charlie met and married Sharon Maki, she survives. Together they raised their three daughters, Christine, Cathy, and Janine. Charlie worked as a rural postal carrier for the United States Postal Service while also remaining a jack of all trades.
With the help of his brothers and friends, he built the home he raised his family in and the lake home he and Sharon retired to. Along with the hard work came plenty of fun and food. He loved to play cards, host get togethers and dance. He spent his time watching the stock market, helping others with projects, and growing his vegetable garden. Charlie and Sharon loved to travel to Mexico and shared trips to Colombia and Cuba with his sister, Patty. In retirement, the house on Island Lake became the go-to spot to host gatherings. Whether it was the neighbors for a cookout or a grand event like the family reunion, you could find Charlie cooking meat over the open flame fire with his brothers and friend, Alphonse. Charlie was known for being funny, loud, charismatic, a bit naughty, but most of all, loyal and loving. To know him was to be supported and loved by him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Kathleen "Kay" (John) Gregory, Donald (Jean), Kenny (Colleen), David, and Patty; sisters-in-law, Maureen and Yvonne; and brothers-in-law, Paul DeBenedictis and Gordon Maki.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughters, Christine (Jay Ernst) Ordemann, Cathy (Randy Zelent) Ordemann, and Janine (Paul) Rufledt; granddaughter, Elise Ordemann; step-grandchildren, Skylar Trazcyk, Caroline (Nick) Grunenwald, Anna Zelent, and Alex (Pat) Alexander; siblings, Virginia DeBenedictis, Gary Morzenti, and Jon Morzenti; many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Danny Maki; sister-in-law, Jan Maki; and best friend, Alphonse (Sandy) Zanella.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
