Castella J. Lind, 90, formerly of Duluth, died Tuesday March 12, 2013 in the Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton, MN. She was born on May 13, 1922 in Alberta, Canada to Joseph and Estella Ellefson. When she was a young girl the family moved to Fosston, MN where she grew up. Castella married Vancel "Bud" Lind in Duluth, MN on June 11, 1949. She was a homemaker who loved her family very much, baking the best cinnamon rolls, and knitting award winning afghans. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vancel, her twin sister Louella, brothers Orville, Wallace, Lester, and Lee. She is survived by her children Ellsworth (Carol) of Proctor, Leonard (Lynn) of Cloquet, Wayne (Cheryl) of Ottsville, PA, Keith of St. Cloud, and Adele (Bruce) John of Wrenshall, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Castella's family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Inter-Faith in Carlton for the wonderful care she received. A private family memorial service has been held.
