Carol Jean Catanzarite, 76, of Duluth, lost her long battle with multiple myeloma and severe dementia on January 9, 2022 at Franciscan Health Center.

Carol was born in Duluth on March 25, 1945 to Adolph and Josephine Suihkonen. Carol married Dean "Skip" Catanzarite on July 19, 1996. Skip and Carol moved from Duluth to the Carolinas, and returned to Duluth in 2007. Carol worked in purchasing and shipping until she retired. She enjoyed dancing, golf, and spending time with her family. A baby or puppy always put a smile on her face.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents.

Carol is survived by daughters, Lynn Hendrickson and Janine (Neil) Dickenson; son, Scott (Jackie) Hendrickson; step-daughters, Chrisie (Brad) Timblin, Danny (Chris) DePaulis and Lacey (Chris) Hella; sisters, Margaret (Mel) Wilson, Mary Weinand and Nellie Mann; brother, Donald Suihkonen; together Carol and Skip have 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to St. Luke's Hospice and Franciscan Health Center for all their care.
