Carol Mae (Bolin) Jones, 94, of Duluth, passed away on July 17, 2024 at Ecumen Lakeshore. Carol was born in Ogilvie, MN on February 17, 1930 to Hjalmer and Edith Bolin.

Carol was a housewife and mother who loved her children and grandchildren very much.

She lived in Woodland for 52 years and was very involved in the Woodland Community Club, where she participated in the First Woodland Ice Follies and performed a dance with many other Residents. Carol was very active in her church St. Edward's Episcopal. She was part of a group known as the "Cousins".

Camping was a big part of her life, traveling to many states. Gardening was also a passion of hers, as were birds, especially cardinals. Her house was filled with pictures and figurines.

Carol's heart was broken when her husband of 75 years, Daniel, passed away in February 2024. Carol was also preceded in death by her grandson, Benjamin Jones; siblings and siblins-in-laws, Mike (Virginia), Jerry (Eva), Jim (Betty), Angie (Sandy) Bracewell, and Tom Potter; and son-in-law, John Stahl.

Carol is survived by her children, Steve (Lin), Roxanne (Kevin), Kristine (Roy), Jim (Peggy), and Patrick (Kathy); grandchildren, Cody (Caley), Chris, Gretchen, Daniel (Casey), Krista, Carol (Rob), Patrick, Mark (Tammy), Jason, Joseph (Taylor), Sarah, Connor, and Dawn (Brian); great-grandchildren, Beau, Arla, Fisher, Carson, Madison, Trent (Kara), Elliot, Dean, and Penny; great-great-grandchildren, Cayden and Page; sisters, Judy Potter and June (Jack) Sorenson; and several nephews and nieces.

Mom, we love you and will miss you. "I Love You More".

The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Ecumen Lakeshore Hospice and The Shores staff for the wonderful care given to Carol in her final days.

Visitation to be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 8th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with Memorial Service at 11:00 AM and reception to follow. Committal and Interment the MN State Veterans Cemetery - Duluth at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree or send memorials to any organization you prefer in Carol's honor.
