Carmen Lucile Jirik 92, beloved mother, grandmother and friend died March 9, 2015 in Duluth, MN. She was born in 1922 to Howard and Tresa True in Center Creek Township in Martin County, MN. She moved to Itasca Lodge in Cohasset, MN in March 1937. Her family operated a fishing resort for many years. She graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1940. She married George Blaha January 27, 1943. They lived in Effie, MN at their sheep farm. George died in April 1951. She remarried in 1953 to Frank Jirik Jr and lived on a potato farm in Wirt, MN. In 1960 she moved back to Cohasset as a single parent. Carmen worked for Cohasset Mill & Lumber Co. She retired
