Brian Henry Gilderman passed away on Thursday, October 5th after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on July 30th, 1958 to Charles and Joan Gilderman in Proctor, MN. He attended Proctor High School and was involved in cross-country, track and hockey, graduating in 1976. He earned All-Conference honors as a hockey goaltender. Brian served for 8 years in the U. S. Army, earning the rank of Sergeant. He was stationed in Germany and Fort Sill, OK. Brian worked at the College of St. Scholastica for 28 years as the groundskeeper. He retired in July, 2017 as a result of his illness. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Annie; and his sister-in-law, Penny. Brian is survived by his wife, Patsy Gilderman; his children, Ryan(Michelle) Gilderman, Amber, Amanda, and Cody Occhino; grandchildren, Isaiah, Brianna, and Ryan; siblings, Chuck (Candy), Dan (Sunny), Kerry (Kathy), Diane (Dave) Bell, Jill, and Glen (Terrie); along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Silva and her team at St. Luke's Oncology. Visitation is Monday, October 9th at 10AM, followed by the Funeral service at 11AM at Forbes United Methodist Church in Proctor.
