Barbara Jean Johns age 83, of Duluth went to be with the lord on May 16, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was a proud member of St. Joseph Church Gnesen. Barb loved her job working for the Gnesen Fire Dept., selling pull tabs at the Island Lake Inn and visiting with everyone who came in. She was always smiling, she loved her animals and feeding her birds. Barb was preceded in death by her loving husband Alex "Spike", her parents Cal and Ruth, sister Shirley Nelson and her children "dogs" Nanuk, Katie and Skidder. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousin. She was deeply loved by many and will be deeply missed. A special thank you to Marcia, Jay and Clay Haller for taking special care of her. Memorial Service will be Tuesday May 21, 2019 at St. Joseph's - Gnesen Catholic Church at 2 pm with visitation one hour prior to service.
