Barbara J. Cokeley, 82, of Hermantown passed away on Thursday May 15, 2014. She was born in Virginia, MN on September 23, 1931 to Ernest and Beatrice Myers. She spent many years serving the students of the Duluth School District, and for many years Barb and Denny passionately dedicated their time to supporting youth and seniors through the Salvation Army. She was blessed to share 36 years with her wonderful husband and best friend Denny Cokeley. Barb spent her life modeling how to live fully and love completely and without judgment. She was the epitome of resilience. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Faye Michelizzi and Mary Jane Myers, and a brother Ernest "Bill" Myers. Barb is survived by her husband Dennis, children John (Pam) Swanson, Gery (Caroline) Swanson, Annette (Tim) Sedor, Penny (Chris Dallmann) Johnson, and Arnette Leier, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Jeanne LaMourea and Pat Heine.
