Barbara Jean Carlson, 71, of Duluth, entered into eternal rest with the Lord our Father on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at St Luke's Hospital.

Barb was born in Duluth on September 1, 1951 to Richard Sr. and Agnes (Rise) Hellesvig. She retired from St Luke's Hospital after 37 years in medical records and registration. In her free time she enjoyed reading, playing Yahtzee, doing puzzles and spending time with family.

Barb was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Jim Carlson; son-in-law, Keith Faria; her parents; brothers, Stephan, Richard Jr (Bosco), Gary, and Dale; sister, Sandra Jackman; nephews, Rickurt Jackman and Christopher Durst; and brother-in-law, Roger Talbot.

Barb is survived by her daughters, Julie Mosley and Tara Faria; grandchildren, Hailey (Brad) Fosberg, Iris Faria and Karson Faria; siblings, Jessie Talbot, Marilyn (Dennis Chelstrom) Hellesvig, Jeffrey, Terry, Bradley, Carol (Bob) Walczak, David, and Clarissa Durst; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff at St Luke's Hospital.

Private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Inurnment at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery.
