Arlette Shaw, age 77, of Duluth died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Friday August 29, 2014 at Solvay Hospice House. Arlette was born on March 4th. 1937 in St. Louis County, Mn to Hjalmer and Sophie (Keveri) Johnson. An organized office manager most of her career, she loved gardening, cooking, and family gatherings. She was preceeded in death by husband Richard Shaw. Survived by their son Jason (Jodi Gustafson) Shaw, her son Michael (Karen Ewanowski) Myshack, stepdaughter Dixie (Chuck) Cooper, stepson Richard (Dee Dee) Shaw; brothers Ken (Clarice) Johnson and Ralph (Myrna) Johnson; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many beloved nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. She will be missed. Visitation at Sunrise on Tuesday September 2 from 10-11 with service to follow. A light lunch will be served after the service.
