Ardys Marie Wolfe, 78, of Hermantown, passed away on September 12, 2024 at Essentia St Mary's Medical Center. She was born in Duluth to Harold and Ruth Engblom on April 4, 1946.

Ardys graduated from Hermantown High School in 1964. She worked as a cook for many places, including the Le Grand Supper Club, Gallagher's, Aftenro Home, and Viewcrest. She spent 12 years with Essentia Environmental Services at Miller Dwan, retiring in Jan 2022.

Ardys enjoyed doing puzzles, playing card games, especially cribbage, watching trains, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Although she wasn't a fan of music, she loved Elvis. She spent many years running the 4H food booth at the Proctor Fair.

Ardys was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Donna Riley; and son-in-law, Wayne "Buck" Hirdler.

Ardys is survived by her husband, Calvin; children, James "Jim", Lynn Hirdler, and Diane Davis; grandchildren, Chase Hirdler, Matti (Ryan Kolojeski) Hirdler, Chloe Fredrickson, Caitlin Stingley, Hannah Davis, and Jason "JJ" Davis; great-grandson, Carter; sister, Mary Busch; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial service to be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 20th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
