Wallace Morse Obituary

Wallace F. Morse, 84, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 27th in his home at the Primrose Retirement Community of Duluth.
Wally was born on March 16, 1933 to his parents, Floyd and Virginia Morse.
He attended school here in Duluth and after high school, joined the U.S. Navy before returning home to marry Ione Stickney, the absolute light and love of his life.
Wally and Ione raised eight children here in Duluth in the lower Chester Neighborhood.
Returning home from the service in the mid 1950's, jobs around the area were not that plentiful. With his keen knowledge of electronics and experience as a radioman in the navy, he sought out and talked Mr. Marty Endresen into hiring him at Endresen Sound Company. Wally worked for and eventually came to own the company where he worked as a partner with his brother-in-law, Bob Stickney, until his retirement.
Wally was masterful at just about anything he set his mind too. His many hobbies included fixing almost anything electronic, restoring and remodeling the family home, photography, rock tumbling, wood turning, rebuilding watches and clocks.
Wally was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Virginia; his wife, Ione; brother, Donald; granddaughter, Tara; brother-in-law, Lloyd Leblanc.
He is survived by his children, Jim (Kathy), Rob (Toni), Brian (Tammy), Tim, Kathy (Pat), Loren, Mark (Marcia), Eric (Mary-Katherine); siblings, Jane, Tom (Eunice), Jean (Terry), Doug (Gerry); 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Primrose for the care of our father the last few years and St. Luke's Hospice for their guidance, care, and kindness with this great soul the last few weeks of his life.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 1pm Thursday, March 8th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy.
