Steven Kieswetter Obituary
Steven Holland Kieswetter, 55, of Duluth, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Monday, January 28, 2019 at St. Mary's hospital in Duluth with his mother and two of his sisters by his side. He now resides with his Heavenly Father the Lord Jesus Christ.
Steven was born to Charles and Roseann (Sande) Kieswetter on August 22nd, 1963 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. After his graduation from Duluth Central High School in 1981, he was employed at the Casa De Roma Restaurant in Duluth. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1985, and proudly served our country for three years in the Persian Gulf. Following his active duty, he enlisted in the Navy Reserves and served there from 1988-1997. He was employed at Conseco Finance, Apex Lending, the Sheraton Hotel, and recently employed in surveillance at Fond Du Luth Casino. He loved all of his coworkers at Fond Du Luth, they were his 2nd family. Steven's greatest passion in his life was serving his country. He also loved discussing politics, spending time with his family, and watching sports on TV.
Steven was preceded in death by his father, Ron Shoberg; his birth father, Charles Kieswetter; paternal grandparents, Holland and Angela Kieswetter; and maternal grandmother, Myrtle Sande.
Steven is survived by his mother, Roseann Shoberg; sisters, Deborah (John) Filander, June Kieswetter, Cindy (Marshall) Mills, Joyce Shoberg, Laura Bohlmann (who cared for and supported him through life), and Jill Johnson; brother, Gerald (Dawn) Shoberg; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 12 pm on Saturday, February 2nd at Duluth Bible Church, 201 W. St. Andrew's St, with funeral service to follow at 1 pm. Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery in Duluth.
