Marilyn Lindeen Obituary
Marilyn June (Hicks) Lindeen, 82, of Duluth, left us on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 to be with the Lord.
Marilyn was born June 20, 1936 in Duluth, MN, to Bruce and Dorothy (McNaught) Hicks. She attended Denfeld High School and grew up in West Duluth. She raised her family in Hermantown while working for many years at St. Mary's Hospital. After leaving Hermantown for Ohio, the family settled in California and finally returned to Duluth for good in 1995. She enjoyed her retirement with her husband of 59 years, Donald, until his passing in November 2018. She spent many years enjoying creating crafts with her grandchildren, traveling, and having long conversations with her children over the phone.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Debbie Moyer (Chuck), Susan O'Hare, and Steven Lindeen; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11 am on Saturday, December 22nd at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the MN/ND Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org/mnnd or by calling (952) 830-0512.
