George Frank Mousky, 85, of Duluth, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospice. George was born in Sauk Rapids, MN to William & Francis Mousky. He graduated from Sauk Rapids High School, then joined the Army. He served for four years, mostly in Korea. He married Norma Mann in 1956, and they moved to California where he worked for General Tel. They moved back to Minnesota and he worked at Northwestern Bell for many years, before retiring from Qwest. He co-owned Bear Brand Firewood. After retiring he worked for Mark Products, then he started and co-owned Air One. He was a long time member of the Lions Club and Telephone Pioneers. He was a member of Mt Olive Lutheran Church. He enjoyed golfing and fishing, and most of all, splitting wood.
George was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Carl and William Jr; sister, Elyrine Keller; and infant twin sisters.
George is survived by his wife of 62 years, Norma; children, Jean (Michael) Van Kessel and Laurie (Don) King; grandchildren, Matthew (Amy) King, Gina King, Robert King, Harry (Jill) Van Kessel, and Luke Van Kessel; great-grandchildren, Megan, Alex, Preston, Sydney and Hailey; siblings, Lorraine Bentfield and Marlys (Dale) McCowen; sister-in-law, Marlene Mousky; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
VISITATION: 1pm on Wednesday, June 6th at Mt Olive Lutheran Church, 2012 East Superior St, Duluth, with a memorial service to follow at 2pm.
