Esther A. Beeman, 88, of Duluth, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Golden Oaks in Hermantown with her family by her side.
Esther was born on October 1, 1930 to Hazel and Edwin Glander in Detroit, MI.
Esther grew up in Royal Oak, MI and met the love of her life, Tom, soon after high school. They were married February 26, 1949 and remained inseparable until Tom's passing just 7 months ago.
Esther liked to garden and always had many flower and vegetable gardens. As well, she was an avid artist, painting many flower and outdoor scenes.
She was the last survivor of her immediate family and Tom's as well.
Esther is survived by her four children, Wendy (Steve) Bonnar of La Masa, CA, Marc Beeman of Duluth, Nick (Linda) Beeman of Duluth, and Dan (Pam) Beeman of St. Louis Park, MN; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family would like to deeply thank the staff of Golden Oaks Hermantown for the love they showed and the warm care they gave Esther to the very end, as they did for Tom, who passed in March of this year. Also thank you to Essentia Hospice for keeping Esther comfortable in her last weeks.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time by immediate family. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Second Harvest Food Bank would be Esther's wish.
