Elizabeth Doup Obituary
Elizabeth "Betty" Julia Doup, 85, of Duluth, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019, at Solvay Hospice House with her family around her.
She was born in Duluth on July 25, 1934 to Emil and Martha Schultz.
Elizabeth had a deep love of family and was always there in a time of need. In the early years she worked alongside her husband at their trucking firm. She worked at Beltone Hearing until she retired. Betty actively volunteered at her church. She was an avid reader and was the coolest grandma. She supported/attended all her children and grandchildren's activities: skiing, auto-racing, football, baseball, and school events. In her leisure time she loved her flower beds and being outside.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Doup; twin brother, David; and brother, Fredrick Schultz.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Teresa (Dan Streu) Differding, Roy (Amy Pacholsky), Curt, Bill (Brenda): grandchildren, David Sigfrid, Andy Sigfrid, Michael Butera, Jordan Butera, Christina Differding, Sharlene (Jeremiah) Santmyer, Michael (Rachel) Johnson, Steven McDonald, Tyler Orr, Kyle Doup, Jessica Doup and Gary (Toni) Doup; great-grandchildren, Mason Russell, Eli Johnson, Isac Johnson and Tate Doup.
The family would like to thank the St. Luke's physicians and their teams for the great care given to Elizabeth. They would also like to thank the Solvay Hospice House and the teams for their comfort care in the last few days of her life.
VISITATION: 10 am on Saturday, October 5th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with memorial service to follow at 11 am. Interment at Oneota Cemetery.
