Douglas "Scott" Merzwski 62 of Duluth died unexpectedly Sunday May 12, 2019. He was born on June 26, 1956 to Donald and Carol (Sundquist) Merzwski.
Family was everything to Scott and he was very devoted to them. He doted on his grandchildren and had a special bond with his grandson Jadin, with whom he spent many summers catching frogs and hitting golf balls. Renley's favorite memory of Grandpa is agate hunting with him at the gravel pit.
Scott enjoyed fishing with the guys, hunting and watching sports. He loved music and taught himself to play guitar. He loved taking photos of his family and of nature. He enjoyed agate hunting, playing computer games with Jadin and being outside spending time with his family.
His family will all miss him dearly but take comfort in knowing he is now free of pain.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Carol.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 37 years, Pamela (Sanders) Merzwski; sons, Andrew and Eric (Ali Anderson); grandchildren, Ahnaleah (12), Jadin (11), and Renley (5); brothers, Dennis, (Connie Moe) and Cary (Ethel) Merzwski both of Superior; Uncle, David (Jane) Merzwski; and mother-in-law, Jeanne Sanders.
