Corinne Ann McDonald, 95, formerly of West 8th St., Duluth, passed away on September 18, 2019, at Viewcrest Health Center. Born on March 12, 1924, in Duluth, to John and Corinne (Eister) Small.
Corinne graduated from Morgan Park High School in 1942 and enlisted in the Navy WAVES during World War II. She married Earl W. McDonald, of Duluth, in 1946, in the state of Maryland and they had seven children. After retiring, Corinne enjoyed visiting her kids across the US and in Canada. She loved spending her summers at her cabin on Island Lake and traveling in her RV during the winter. Corinne enjoyed a good adventure, had a strong faith in her religion and lived life to its fullest, her way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill and Jack Small, Earl W. McDonald; daughter, Lynn Gollat; son, John (jack) McDonald; daughter-in-law, Geordis McDonald; and granddaughter Elisabeth Weber.
She is survived by her children, Mark (Jane) McDonald of Lake Arrowhead CA, Kathleen Weber of Cambridge MN, Patricia (James) Love of Bullard TX, Tom McDonald and Bob (Gloria) McDonald both of Duluth; 12 grandkids; 22 great-grandkids; 1 great-great-grandchild; 4 nieces; and 1 nephew.
The family would like to thank the Viewcrest care team for their dedication to the residents. A Memorial with military honors will be planned for next summer.
