We also loved the northern Minnesota log cabin appearance of your facility, reminded us of all the good times with Dad.

Thank You for your outstanding handling of our Sister Janet H. Zitzow’s remains after her death on March 5, 2023. You and your staff handled her with dignity and in a caring and professional manner.
Janet had many physical challenges in her life. She was an excellent artist with a unique personality. She chose to be entombed above ground in a single crypt at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery and Cremation Gardens. Janet spent her entire adult life in Duluth and Hermantown. It was with much study and consideration that she chose Sunrise as her final resting place.
Our family is very pleased with the services provided by you and the Funeral Home.

What would I recommend? Everything!! They help you every step of the way, they make sure your mind is at ease and they are caring and compassionate! I had both of my parents pass, both within a year. They were so helpful to me both times, I can’t imagine going somewhere else where they don’t offer the same type of services. They helped by finding me a musician and pastor and when I noticed my moms service wasn’t showing up, they fixed it right away. They are truly a blessing!!

I lost my dad June 5, 2021. Everyone at Sunrise was amazing! Everything was perfect and when I needed anything they were right there at the open house. Thank you Sunrise for all your hard work and friendship!!

Our mom passed away in April and our experience with Sunrise was excellent. We dealt with Larissa, who made the entire process much easier. She kept us informed about changes with covid, was organized and always ready for us at each meeting. Larissa is very professional and we never felt pressured to buy anything or upgrade..she just gave us the facts and it was all our choice. These events are hard enough for family, but the Sunrise team did a great job in putting our mom's service together how we wanted and it was beautiful.

I would recommend these folks for your funeral needs, there is never a good time to need this type of service, however, when you do, they are spectacular. Our needs were in the midst of the Covid lock down and New Years holiday. The death of a loved one hard enough without the for mentioned events, however, these folks did EVERYTHING humanly possible to meet our needs and requests as well as comply with the state regulations. Caring and compassionate is in there description of who they are. Those words are are simply not enough to describe the service we received.

We would like to thank the Sunrise team for there professional help and support. We lost our father/father-in-law on 01/29/2021. We were fortunate that he had made prearrangements back in 2000. Although prices have changed a lot since then, they worked with us to have all the expenses covered by what he had paid back then. The Porter family and their staff could not have been more helpful. Sunrise Funeral Home made planning my mother’s service (during a pandemic) as seemless as possible. They have the most caring and supportive staff in the Duluth area.
