Robert “Robbie” Thomas Daugaard, 77, of Duluth, passed away on Wednesday, Feb 28, 2024, at Essentia Health Duluth, surrounded by his loving family.
Robbie was born May 14, 1946, in Duluth, the son of Thomas and Delores (Erickson) Daugaard. He grew up and attended school in Duluth, graduating from Central High School in 1964. Robbie then enlisted in the National Guard and served 3 years.
He worked for BNSF Railroad for 31 years. Robbie made his home in Duluth and Hermantown
Robbie was an avid pool player, motorcycle enthusiast, golfer, and volunteer at Keystone Bluffs Assisted Living for many years. His favorite places to be was on his bike, in his garage, at the pool hall, or out at a local establishment with his friends.
Robbie is survived by his children, Scott (Sally) Daugaard of Shakopee, MN, Melissa Torkelson of Duluth, MN, Mary (Steve) Raj of Hermantown, MN, and Pauli (Shane) Custer of Pike Lake, MN; grandchildren, Jaxon, Morgan, Mya, Bella, and Noah; siblings, Cathryn (Robert) Egger of Spokane WA, Sandra (Robert) Banks of Naples, FL, and Jamie (Beth) Daugaard of Savage, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date this Spring.
