Russell Holm Obituary
Russell Christian Holm, of Duluth, Minnesota went to be with his Lord and Savior January 25, 2018 from St. Luke's Hospital. Russell was 97 years old. Russell was born in Duluth, Minnesota to Christian and Lydia Maki on October 22, 1920.
Russell went to Central High School. He sailed the great lakes. He worked as a serviceman for Duluth Steam Corporation and retired in 1980 after 29 years of service.
Russell enjoyed gardening and fishing and taking care of his family.
Russell was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Piedmont Heights.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents, and his older brother Raymond.
Russell is survived by his wife, Elsie; his daughters, Carol and Janet (Woody); his grandchildren, Jason (Kelly), Sheila (Jon), Daniel (Kristin), and Michael; great grandchildren, Avery, Connor, and Gianna; niece, Judith; and a nephew, Ted.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 12:00pm Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, Hermantown, MN, with a memorial service to follow at 1:00pm.
Russell was blessed with a long life, a loving heart, and a family that loved him dearly. We will miss him, but we know we will see him again.
