Hunter Fronden Obituary

Hunter Ray Fronden, 16, of Duluth, Minnesota, passed away on April 9, 2018.
Hunter was born on August 16, 2001, in Duluth, Minnesota, to Erick Fronden and Jennifer Johnson, both of Duluth. He was a junior at Duluth East High School.
Throughout his short life, Hunter enjoyed playing basketball, soccer, and hockey, where he found his calling on the ice. He started his hockey journey with Woodland, moved on to East Bantams, and finally with Junior Gold in Superior, Wisconsin. Hunter also enjoyed trap shooting and bird/deer hunting at the family hunting shack with his Labrador, Kiya, and most recently with his current Labrador, Bear. He also enjoyed gaming with his friends.
Hunter will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, grandson, nephew, and friend. In all his endeavors, he gave his best. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and did so with a smile - a smile that was contagious to all that witnessed it. This has been a sudden loss for us all. With the help of our many dear family and friends, we will someday learn to deal with our tragic loss.
Hunter was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Elizabeth Johnson.
Hunter is survived by his parents, Erick Fronden and Jennifer Johnson; his beautiful sister, Janine Fronden; his paternal grandparents, James and Sandra Fronden; his Uncle Jay Fronden, Aunt Anna, and cousin Olie; Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Bjorn Krause and cousins Kjerstin, Odin, Elsa, and Sylvie; Uncle Jon Fronden and Aunt Julie Fronden; Uncle Jeff Fronden and Aunt Karen Fronden; Uncle Mark Knapp; Uncle Mark Mattala and Aunt Cherie Mattala; Aunt Pat Alvar; Uncle Dave Grant and Aunt Kristine Grant; Uncle Rick Witherly and Aunt Coleen Witherly, and many other cousins.
