George A. Overfors, 82, of Duluth, MN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 30, 2018.
George was born in Melrude, MN, to George and Jane (Peterson) Overfors on March 14, 1936. He worked for Superwood/Georgia Pacific for 39 years, as a grinder deck operator, an electrician, and mill foreman.
George was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and spending time with family & friends at his hunting shack. Building and working on guns was his passion that he shared with his wife. George was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Army.
George was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Clement.
George is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Joanne; sons, Dan (May) and Tony (Deb); daughters, Cindy (Curtis), Sherry (Dana), Susan, and Rhonda (Jim); 12 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
His family is honoring George's request for no service. They will gather at his beloved hunting shack to honor him; carrying on the outdoor traditions he taught us to love!
