Earl Alfred (Tubby) Christianson, 77 years, of Duluth, MN passed away October 15, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital.
Tubby was born in Duluth to Alfred Christianson and Evelyn Anderson Christianson on February 1, 1940. He graduated in 1958 from Duluth East high school. After graduation he joined the MN Air National Guard 148th and retired in 1993 after 35 years of service.
He enjoyed working on and building street rods and showing his 1940 lime green Chevrolet show truck, golfing, fishing, watching and yelling at Nascar, and spending time with Donna and Lana.
Tubby was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Evelyn Christianson; in-laws, Raymond and Lillian Gulbranson; and his son, Kent.
He is survived by his wife; Donna Christianson; daughter, Lana Roberts; grandson, Tyler Christianson of Alaska; sisters, Eileen (Wayne) Gosselin of Georgia, Beverly (Russell) Berntson of Duluth; sister in law, Marilyn Schnobrich of Proctor; nieces and nephews; Julie (Mike) Lathrop, Terri (Ed) Reel, Tim (Laura) Berntson, David (Laura) Berntson, Lee Schnobrich, Tim (Nici) Schnobrich, and Gina (Paul) Rockstad.
For the last 16 years, Tubby and Donna spent their winters in Apache Junction, AZ.
VISITATION: 12pm Friday, October 27th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, Hermantown, MN with a memorial service to follow at 2pm.
