Chad Blight Obituary

Chad Everett "Red" Blight, 41, of Two Harbors, Minnesota, passed away on the evening of June 7, 2018 in a tragic ATV accident in Two Harbors, near his home.
Chad was born in Hibbing, Minnesota to Alexander "Butch" Blight and Linda Sparby on December 4, 1976. He went to high school in Hibbing and graduated in 1995.
His career became serious in 2001 when he discovered his passion was for food and dining. He became a self-taught Chef over the course of 16 years. His journey began with the Frank family at Morey's in Brainerd then Ivens on the Bay, Brainerd, Manhattan Beach Lodge, Crosslake, Lost Lake Lodge, Nisswa, Grand Superior Lodge, Two Harbors, The Rustic Inn Cafe, Castle Danger, Larsmont Cottages, Two Harbors and many other various kitchens and food scenes.
He was inspirational, intelligent, handsome, hilarious, and fun to be around. Chad loved the outdoors. A few of his favorite activities were spending time with his children, hunting for mushrooms, agate picking, ice fishing, 4 wheeling, grouse hunting, and target shooting. He was known for big dinners late at night, grilling and smoking meats, inappropriate comments, and his wild flailing arms while explaining something to you. He had excellent taste in shoes, hats, and music. He was a beer connoisseur and had a wealth of knowledge on many, many, many subjects. He had a passion for hard work and just wanted to make people laugh and enjoy life with him.
