Nancy C. Levine, 83, of Duluth, MN, passed away peacefully at Solvay Hospice House on Friday, May 27, 2016. She was born in Duluth on August 1, 1932, to Lawrence & Almeda Carter. She was a lifelong resident of Duluth, and spent winters in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, for the past 30 years. She graduated from Central High School, married Jack Y. Levine Sr, had four children. They were married for 50 years. After the kids were raised, she attended Duluth Academy of Hair Design and graduated in 1981 with her hairdresser license. Nancy & Jack enjoyed traveling, & it took them to: Peru; Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro; Caracus; Grenada, St. Thomas, & Puerto Rico. Nancy treasured her trip to Paris, France with daughter Karen; and to Milan, Italy with daughter Lynn. They also spent many years enjoying the cabin on Island Lake, with family & friends. At home, she enjoyed all the time she spent with her many poodles throughout the years. She was proceeded in death by her husband, parents; in-laws, Jake and Lenora Levine; sister, Gladyce M. Kerr; sister-in-law, Joanne Hjelmgren; and dear niece, Joan Alexander. She is survived by daughter Lynn Levine (special friend, Dave Broska), of Duluth; son Jack Y. (Dorothy) Levine, Jr., of Tallahassee, FL; daughter Karen Dillon, of Ovilla, TX.; son Jeff (June) Levine, of Duluth; brother-in-law William Hjelmgren; Lake Elmo, MN, grandchildren Tina(Mike) Oliver, Jacob Levine, Jill(Mitch) Billman, Jeffrey (Ashley) Levine, Ryan and Brittany Dillon; and great-grandson, Brayden Oliver. The family would like to thank Dr. Homan Alkaied, Dr. Jeray Johnson, Dr. Steven Long, Ecumen Lakeshore, Essentia Hospice, and especially Solvay Hospice House for the wonderful care given. Visitation beginning at 10:00 am, on Wednesday, June 1, with services to follow at 11:00 am, at Sunrise Memorial. Burial in Sunrise Memorial Park. Arrangements by Sunrise.
