MaryLou (McCuskey) MacDougall, 79, of Hermantown, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017, in St Luke's ICU surrounded by family, following a brief illness. She was born on September 9, 1937, to Frank and Violet (Wicklund) McCuskey in Carlton, MN. She married John MacDougall on October 17th 1964. She worked most of her career and retired from JCPenney, with so many people she thoroughly enjoyed. She also thoroughly enjoyed sewing with the Quilting Group at Salem Lutheran Church, volunteering with the Viewcrest Auxiliary and was a member of the Red Hats. MaryLou loved spending time with her family fishing and hunting. She especially loved watching and supporting her grandchildren participate in different activities. She will be greatly missed. MaryLou was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lawrence, Edward and Norman; and sisters, Doris, Irene and Ida. MaryLou is survived by her husband, John, of Hermantown; children Barry (Donna) of Duluth, Tracy of Minneapolis, and Timothy (Christine) of Duluth; grandchildren, Casey, Bradley, and Samantha MacDougall of Duluth; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Devon MacDougall of Duluth; and brother, Ronald, of Cloquet. The family would like to extend many thanks to the staff at St Lukes Hospital and Ecumen Lakeshore for the excellent care given to MaryLou. Per MaryLou's wishes, no services will be held. Memorials are preferred to the Salem Lutheran Church Quilting group, or Viewcrest Health Center Auxiliary. These were things near and dear to her heart.
