Kermit G. Littler, age 83, died on Wednesday January 20th, 2016 following complications due to a cardiac condition. Born in Bemidji on April 29th, 1932, his family later relocated to Duluth in 1942. Kermit graduated from Duluth Central High School class of 1950, and went onto obtain a Master's degree in education from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. He was drafted on September 4th, 1952 and served the next 2 years in Germany during the Korean conflict. Upon returning from Germany, he married Cecelia Coldor. They had 2 sons, Gordon and Glen. Kermit spent the next several years running his own television and audio equipment sales and service business. After selling that business, he worked for the Control Data Corporation, and then for ISD709, where he would teach for the vocational school for the next 24 years. He retired in 1992. Kermit married Joyce Midbon in September, 2000 and they have resided in Superior, Wisconsin since then. He became very active with the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Superior, performing charity work. He was also an avid hunter, fisherman, bowler, and golfer. He spent many happy days on the family's private hunting land, building and maintain roads. Kermit is survived by his wife Joyce and stepson Brian Midbon of Superior, his son Gordon (Nancy) and grandchildren Megan and Matthew, his son Glen (Jenny) and grandchildren Andrew, Joseph, Nicholas, and Hannah. He was preceded in death by his sons' mother, Cecelia, and his beloved parents, Forrest and Olive Littler. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 30th, at Sunrise Funeral Home; visitation at 10:00 am with services to follow at 12:00 pm.
