Jerome Springsteele Obituary

Jerome T. Springsteele, age 85 of Duluth, passed away on July 14, 2016, at Viewcrest Health Center on his 43rd wedding anniversary. He was born on January 24, 1931, to Harry and Clarice (Torgeson) Springsteele in Duluth. In 1949, he graduated from Duluth Central High School. Jerome worked for Benson Optical, Diamond Tool, and American Paints. In 1992, he retired from Radford Company after 17 years. Jerome loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, hunter, and camper. Jerome is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim Springsteele. Jerome is survived by his wife, Grace Springsteele and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be on Monday, July 18th, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Sunrise Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow the service at Sunrise Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Peace Church, 1111 N. 11th Ave. E. Duluth, MN 55805.
