Jean Lunda Obituary

Jean Marcella (Kent) Lunda 85 of Holiday, FL (Formerly of Cotton and Proctor) passed away February 11, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born April 16, 1930 in Duluth, MN to Marsden and Julia (Lynch) Kent. She married James (Jim) V Lunda on January 14, 1947 and together they shared 64 years before Jim passed in 2011. While living in Duluth she volunteered at Proctor Speedway and various youth activities in Proctor. After moving to Cotton she continued by being involved in DFL politics and was a Life Member of the Ladies auxiliary to the VFW in Cotton, MN. In 2014 she moved to Holiday, FL to "enjoy the warmth". She enjoyed her time there and volunteered at St Stephens Episcopal Church Thrift Store. She is survived by daughters Kathy and Karin Holiday, FL, Kristine Portland, OR and Kent "Jim" daughter-in-law Sally, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law John (Barb) Lunda many nieces and nephews.
