Heidi Cardiff Obituary

Heidi J. Cardiff, 48, lost her battle to colon cancer on Wednesday July 24, 2013. Most recently she lived in the Twin Cities but Heidi died surrounded by love at home in Duluth where she was raised. Heidi was born May 9, 1965 in Cambridge, MD  to Ann Marie "Mimi" (Johnson) and Kelly "Toby" Cardiff. She graduated with the Duluth East High School Class of '83. Heidi worked for GMAC Financing for 23 years and currently was employed by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. She enjoyed photography, traveling, reading, finishing her father's stitchery projects and getting to know everyone. No one was a stranger.
Heidi was preceded in death by her grandparents Jane and Kelly Cardiff, Alice Johnson Franz, D. Walter Johnson and uncle Alan W. Johnson.
She is survived by her parents Ann Marie "Mimi" (Donald) Elstad of Pike Lake and Kelly "Toby" (Pauline Garozzo) Cardiff of Sanford, FL; brothers and sisters Todd (Jana) Cardiff and their children Kelly (son Kelly Landon), Amy (daughter Madison Jane), Joshua, Hunter, Jesse Cardiff, Justin, Tyler, Ashley Goldberg; and Kelly "K.J." Cardiff,Jr., all of Jackson, OH, Donald (Julee) (son Gunnar) Elstad, Owatonna, Randy (Barbara) (daughter Emie) Elstad,Tucson, AZ, Ronda (daughter Whitney) Elstad, Duluth and Denise Lange, Mesa, AZ; aunts Judy (Jim) Snow, Duluth, Carole "KK" (Kody Kohlman) MacCarter and grandfather Roger A Franz of Maplewood.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013 from 10 AM until the 11AM Memorial Service in The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1325 N 45th Ave E, Duluth. Inurnment will be in Sunrise Memorial Park. Arrangements by Sunrise Funeral Home. To leave an online condolence see www.sunrisefuneralhomeandcemetery.com. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank, Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd or the Miller Dwan Solvay House Foundation.
