David Minotte Obituary

David Angelo Minotte, 68, went home to be with Jesus on May 21, 2016 surrounded by loving family and friends at Essentia in Duluth. Born in Duluth, MN May 5, 1948 to Delilah and Angelo Minotte. Dave graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1967, and attended DBU earning an Accounting degree. He joined the U.S. Navy and honorably served in the Vietnam War. Dave married the love of his life Shelly Chalman on Oct. 20, 1979, sharing 36 wonderful years of marriage together. He was an accountant for Duluth Indian Action Council, Northwood Children's Home, WDSE-TV and recently retired from the Salvation Army. He was an active member of the Apostolic Gospel Church in Duluth, involved in the Jail Ministry, and teaching Bible studies. He will always be remembered by his love for God and his passion for sharing this love with others. Dave also enjoyed reading, computers, and trout fishing. His love for people and ability to talk to anyone and everyone was one of his most treasured traits. He is preceded in death by his father Angelo. He will be greatly missed by his wife Shelly Minotte; daughter Kristina Minotte; mother Delilah Lukkasson; sisters Linda Lamppa, Laurie (Brett) Saburn; many nephews, nieces; friends and wonderful church family. VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Highway, Hermantown. Visitation continues Friday, May 27, from 1 until 2 p.m. service at the Apostolic Gospel Church, 3882 Haines Road, Duluth.
