Corrine M. (Pfeiffer) Cooper

Corrine was a dedicated, loving wife and mother. She gave up a budding career in nursing when her first child arrived to be stay-at-home mom. She stayed at home taking care of the kids until the youngest was about to enter junior high; at that time she went to work at Park Inn in the housekeeping department where she worked for almost 20 years. She decided she needed to slow down and went to work at Kmart as a cashier for a few more years until her retirement in 2007. She also had a fun and spontaneous side, prompting her to just pack up and take off with the family for fun day trips. She loved spoiling her grandchildren as much as she could, to send them home to their parents. She had several hobbies which included crossword and jigsaw puzzles, but her favorite was always cribbage. She played weekly leagues for over 20 years and won many tournaments and trophies. She will never be forgotten and always forever missed.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis Pfeiffer & Marion Pfeiffer (Stephens); beloved husband, Glen C. Cooper; and beloved dog, Pal Cooper. She is survived by her aunt, Doris "Doe" Nelson (Pfeiffer); brothers, Dennis "Denny" and Donald "Don" (Nancy) Pfeiffer; sister, Sandra Carlson (Pfeiffer); children, Lisa Cooper, Irene (Michael) Torre, Julie Sabin, and Anthony Cooper; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, 2016 at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Highway, Hermantown. Funeral service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016 with a visitation one hour prior.
